Though the acquisition proceedings were challenged by the respective land owners, they failed to succeed and they were paid compensation. Apart from the compensation, the land owners were issued that one male member of each family from whom the lands were acquired will be given employment in the North Chennai Thermal Power Project. Even then the respondents failed to consider the case of the petitioners and did not provide job to them. Once again the petitioners filed writ petition for the very same relief and this Court directed to submit fresh representation and directed to consider the same in accordance with law. The representations submitted by the petitioners were rejected on various grounds.
