ORDER
This writ petition has been filed, seeking for a mandamus to direct the third and fourth respondents to dispose of the petitioner’s representations dated
13.07.2024 and 04.04.2025 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2. The petitioner claims that erroneously a patta has been issued in favour of one Elumalai for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition. Hence, the petitioner seeks for cancellation of the same. He has given representations on 13.07.2024 and 04.04.2025 to the third and fourth respondents to cancel the patta issued in favour of Elumalai. Since the said representations have not been considered till date, this writ petition has been filed.
3. Mr. C. Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner’s representations dated 13.07.2024 and 04.04.2025, seeking for cancellation of patta issued in favour of one Elumalai are considered on merits and in accordance with law after hearing the objections of the said Elumalai as well as any other third party whom the third respondent deems it fit to enquire within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s representation.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the third respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s representations dated 13.07.2024 and 04.04.2025, seeking for cancellation of patta issued in favour of one Elumalai for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after hearing the objections of the said Elumalai as well as any other third party whom the third respondent deems it fit to enquire.
7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
