ORDER
The petitioner asserts that she is the owner of the property measuring about 10450 sq. ft. in D.S. No.592, Block No.9, Ward No.1, Sanjeevarayan Koil Street, Mudhunagar. Upon noticing that one Parthiban and Kamalaveni registered the above mentioned property in their names, under Document Nos.4712 of 2018 and 4716 of 2018, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 10.12.2025 for an enquiry in relation to the cancellation thereof.
The present writ petition relates thereto.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a civil suit in O.S.No.129 of 2025 is pending before the Court in Cuddalore. During the pendency of such civil suit, he submits that Document Nos. 4712 of 2018 and 4716 of 2018 were registered.
3. Mr.P.Harish, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the registering officer does not have the power of cancellation.
4. Both the impugned documents are undoubtedly registered documents. Post registration, the registering officer does not have the power of cancellation. Therefore, it would be a futile exercise to direct any enquiry to be conducted. By leaving it open to the petitioner to institute proceedings before the jurisdictional Civil Court, the present writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
