PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 24.10.2025 sent by the petitioner to the respondent and pass orders.

ORDER

The above writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.10.2025.

2. The petitioner who is now 57 years, is a differently abled person who had applied for the post of “Junior Assistant” in TNSETC in the year 2012. The petitioner would submit that despite he fulfilling all the criteria required by the respondent and also appearing before the respondent for interview a couple of times and having produced the eligibility certificates required by them, his appointment was not considered. According to the petitioner, the persons who have not possessed the qualification as prescribed in the notification and who have not even attended the recruitment process, were selected and provided with employment.

3. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed W.P.No.20290 of 2012 before this Court. This Court by order dated 27.08.2014 has directed the authorities to consider the candidature of the petitioner for the vacancy that had arisen in the year 2014. This order was not complied by the respondent, instead, they preferred an appeal in W.A.No.1737 of 2014. The Division Bench of this Court by order dated 20.06.2019, had directed the respondent to consider the petitioner’s case and provide him an appointment with suitable age relaxation.

The orders of this Court have not been complied yet. The petitioner would submit that he had submitted several representations, but all are in vain, and the last is the one dated 24.10.2025, which has also not yielded any fruitful result to date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

5. This Court perused the records and found that the petitioner has not filed the acknowledgment, for receipt of his application dated 24.10.2025 by the respondent. Hence, the learned Special Government Pleader is directed to forward the representation of the petitioner dated 24.10.2025 annexed in the typed set of papers to the respondent. The respondent upon receipt of the same, shall proceed to pass orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the petitioner's representation and the order of this Court.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
