O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner’s application dated 11.09.2020 seeking grant of quarry lease in the petitioner’s patta land comprised in S.F.Nos.721/2, 721/3A and 725/3B(P), measuring an extent of 1.91.00 hectares, situated in Mecode Village, Thiruvattar Taluk, Kanyakumari District, by considering the representation dated 27.11.2025 and consequently to direct the respondent to issue the transport permit to the petitioner.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he submitted an application on

11.09.2020 seeking grant of quarry lease in respect of the above said land. However, the said application has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a further representation on 27.11.2025 requesting the respondent to consider the earlier application and grant quarry lease. Since no orders have been passed on the said representation, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the entire process relating to the petitioner’s quarry application has been completed and that quarry licence will be issued to the petitioner within a period of three weeks.

4. In view of the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner’s application dated 11.09.2020 and also his representation dated 27.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, and thereafter issue the quarry licence to the petitioner, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
