The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.139 of 2025, pending on the file of the first respondent Police.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was not at all present at the place of occurrence and he has been wrongly implicated in this case.

3. Today, the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side)

appearing for the first respondent Police submitted that originally, the petitioner was arrayed as an Accused No.2 in this case. Subsequently, during the course of investigation, statement was recorded from the de-facto complainant and during the enquiry, she has stated that the petitioner was not present at the scene of occurrence and he has not committed any offence. Hence, the name of the petitioner has been deleted from the array of the accused and the deletion report has also been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Rasipuram. He reiterated that the name of the petitioner has been wrongly entered in Column No.7 and now, the same has been deleted.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition stands closed.

Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
