O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to forbear the respondents 1 to 4 from interfering the petitioner's pooja in the temple namely Arulmighu Sri Varathambal kovil in Aavanthankotttai village, Aranthangi taluk, Pudukottai District as Hereditary Poosari in the light of peace committee proceedings in Na.Ka.No.6626/2022/A7 dated

05.08.2022 on the file of the 3^rd respondent.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the Hereditary Poosari of the temple viz., Arulmighu Sri Varanthambal Temple in Aavanathan Kottai Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District. According to the petitioner, the respondents 1 to 4 are interfering with the performance of Pooja conducted by the petitioner as Hereditary Poosari in the temple. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the respondents 1 to 4 are not at all interfering with the performance of pooja conducted by the petitioner and there is no dispute between the petitioner and the respondents 1 and 4 with regard to performance of pooja. But, there is a dispute between the petitioner and the 5^th respondent in respect of conducting pooja as Poosari. He further submits that with regard to the claim of Hereditary Poosari, a civil suit is also pending. Therefore, the petitioner can agitate his rights before the civil Court and not before this Court.

As rightly contended by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, since already a civil suit is pending with regard to the Hereditary Poosari and the performance of conducting Pooja, the petitioner can agitate his rights before the civil Court in the pending suit and not before this Court.

6. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
