O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner’s application dated 20.08.2025, pursuant to the proceedings of the second respondent in Na.Ka.Aa7/8302/2025 dated 29.10.2025, within the time stipulated by this Court.

With the consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the first and second respondents, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself, dispensing with the notice to the third to fifth respondents, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed against them.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the property comprised in Survey No.94/1A17, measuring an extent of 31 cents, belongs to the petitioner, having been inherited from his father. Prior to subdivision, the survey number was 94/1A. On 13.05.1952, i.e., prior to subdivision, a portion of the said land measuring an extent of 11 cents was sold to one Madakonar. However, during the UDR survey, the patta was mutated in their name for 14 cents instead of 11 cents and the petitioner’s land in Survey No.94/1A17 was erroneously clubbed with Survey No.94/1A23. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 20.08.2025 before the official respondents. The second respondent conducted an enquiry and forwarded a report to the first respondent vide proceedings dated 29.10.2025, bearing reference Na.Ka.Aa7/8302/2025. However, no orders have been passed till date. Therefore, the petitioner was constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first and second respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation/application would be disposed of by the first respondent on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of ten weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation/application dated 20.08.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation/application shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The first respondent is also directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner, the private respondents and any others who may be affected by such decision.

There shall be no order as to costs.
