The petitioner seeks for issuance of patta in his name for the property morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader for respondents, on instructions, would submit that the subject land is a Government land and therefore, patta cannot be issued in favour of the petitioner. The said fact is also not disputed by the petitioner, but, the petitioner contends that since the neighbouring landowners having already been granted patta, the petitioner is also entitled for patta. The petitioner has not produced any documents before this Court to substantiate the said contention. When admittedly, the land morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, is a Government land, the question of grant of patta in favour of the petitioner does not arise. Hence, this Writ Petition is not maintainable. Since the petitioner claims that he is in possession of the proeprty even now, it is made clear that the respondents can evict the petitioner only by following due procedure established under law, if the petitioner is found to be in possession of the property. Since this Writ Petition is not maintainable, however, is disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
