Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to settle the professional fees for conducting Sessions Case in S.C.628/2003 as Special public Prosecutor before the learned Special District and Sessions Judge, PCR Cases, Madurai as per the letter of the second respondent 24.05.2019 in Na.Ka.No.C4/5861/2018 and to furnish
the quantified amount of Rs.48,000/- with interest as fixed by this Court and grant such other further relief as this Court deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.

ORDER
Heard both sides.
2.The writ petitioner was appointed as Special Public Prosecutor in S.C.No.628 of 2003 on the file of the Special District and Sessions Judge, PCR Cases, Madurai. This is not in dispute. It is also not in dispute that the case was eventually transferred to Andra Pradesh following transfer order by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.
3.The petitioner's grievance is that he has not been paid the appearance fees. According to the petitioner, he had attended 17 hearings. However, his fees have not been settled till date. This is not fair.
4.The second respondent is directed to quantify the fees payable to the petitioner and settle the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.This Writ Petition is allowed accordingly. No costs.
