Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition Criminal is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned order issued by the third respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.Aa1/100/2024, dated 07.10.2024 and quash the same as illegal and consequently, directing the respondents 1 to 5 herein not to interfere with the civil dispute in respect of the Landed Property comprised in S.No.T.S.No.2/1 in extent 2.17 in South North 51, East West 17 total extent 687 sq.ft at Alagiripuram, Kollidam, Villithirumutham Village, Srirangam Taluk, Thiruchirappalli District and consequently direct the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner and her family under the guise of enquiry based on her representation dated 22.10.2025 and for other reliefs.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed challenging the impugned order, passed by the third respondent, vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.Aa1/100/2024, dated 07.10.2024 and consequently, to direct the respondents 1 to 5 herein not to interfere with the civil dispute in respect of the landed Property comprised in S.No.T.S.No.2/1 in extent 2.17 in South North 51, East West 17 total extent 687 sq.ft at Alagiripuram, Kollidam, Villithirumutham Village, Srirangam Taluk, Thiruchirappalli District and direct the second respondent Police not to harass the petitioner and her family under the guise of enquiry based on her representation dated 22.10.2025.

2. It appears that there is a dispute between the petitioner and respondents 6 to 14. The Revenue Divisional Officer, was of the opinion that the dispute was likely to cause a breach of peace and accordingly initiated action. He had directed both the parties to approach the civil Court for appropriate remedy besides directing the Police to take action, if any of the parties committed cognizable offence.

3. According to the petitioner, the respondents have filed civil suits in O.S.Nos.180 of 2024 and 188 of 2023 on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Srirangam, which are pending and inspite of the same, they are interfering with the petitioner's possession.

4. This Court finds no infirmity in the impugned order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, directing the petitioner to seek remedy before the civil Court. If the petitioner is aggrieved by any alleged illegal action of the respondents 6 to 14 in disturbing his possession, it is open to the petitioner to approach the civil Court. At the same time, if any of the parties, namely the petitioner or the private respondents, commit any cognizable offence, the second respondent shall take action in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is dismissed.

Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs.
