Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 forbearing the respondents 6 and 7 from in any manner establishing the new poultry farm comprised in S.No.298/11 situated at Udayamalavarayanpatti, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukkottai District nearby the petitioner's residence on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2022 within the time prescribed by this Court.

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner wants the authorities to forbear the private respondents from establishing any poultry farm in the petition-mentioned site.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board submitted that they have not given any consent. The jurisdictional Block Development Officer has also informed us that till date no such poultry farm has been established.

4. As and when the private respondents apply for setting up any new poultry farm, we direct that without hearing the petitioner, no permission shall be granted. We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
