ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to rectify the mistake in the Patta Transfer Orders dated 30.11.2025, bearing T.R.No.2025/0103/30/78 2057 TR, by including the name of the petitioner in Patta No.4213 relating to Survey No. 1036/7E, in place of the name of the deceased Annamal, daughter of Annapalam Nadachi, based on the petitioner’s online application dated 14.11.2025, within the time frame to be stipulated by this Court.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the lawful owner of the subject property and is entitled to have her name correctly reflected in the revenue records, including the patta. The patta transfer orders dated 30.11.2025 contain an apparent error, as the name of a deceased person continues to be shown instead of the name of the petitioner, despite the petitioner having submitted an online application dated 14.11.2025 along with supporting documents. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the first respondent would pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application 14.11.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
