ORDER

(The Order of the Court was made by P.Velmurugan, J)

This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to produce the petitioner’s son Sivakavi, S/o.Karuppaiya K, aged about 42 years before this Court and set him at liberty.

2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is seen that the petitioner is the father of the detenu. The detenu is aged about

42 years and it is alleged that he has got mental illness and missing from 11.10.2025. The petitioner already lodged a complaint before the second respondent police and the same has also been registered in FIR No.471 of 2025 on 14.10.2025 for ‘man missing’.

4. The second respondent police has also filed a status report stating that they have been taking earnest steps to find out the detenu and the investigation is under progress.

5. In view of the above, the second respondent police is directed to expedite the investigation and file the charge sheet.

6. With the above directions, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
