ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the Special Court for the Exclusive Trial of POCSO Act Cases, Thanjavur to expeditiously complete the trial in Spl S.C.No.278 of 2024 on the file of the Special Court for the Exclusive Trial of POCSO Act Cases, Thanjavur.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner, the aggrieved party in Spl S.C.No.278 of 2024, seeks to expedite the trial in the learned Special Court for the Exclusive Trial of POCSO Act Cases, Thanjavur, due to undue delays. The case has been filed against the accused persons for the offences under POCSO Act. Despite proceedings, the case has been repeatedly adjourned. Due to which, the petitioner is suffering mental agony and hardship. Hence, the present Criminal Original Petition came to be filed.

3. Considering the nature of the case, the learned Special Court for the Exclusive Trial of POCSO Act Cases, Thanjavur, is directed to dispose of the case in Spl S.C.No.278 of 2024 as expeditiously as possible within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
