ORDER

The petitioner is working an an Assistant Professor in the 4^th respondent college. She was appointed on 04.10.2017 and her appointment was also approved by the University in the year 2018. Thereafter the 3^rd respondent has also approved the appointment of this petitioner with effect from 04.10.2017. The petitioner was paid with salary only from May 2022. However, the salary and other benefits due to this petitioner from the date of her appointment upto April 2022 have not been paid. The petitioner has sent repeated representations and has also filed this writ petition that her representations have not been considered so far and she has not been paid salary.

2.Mr.M.Sarangan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the official respondents and submits that the 4^th respondent college has sent the proposal for the arrears of salary only on 23.05.2025. The said proposal has been forwarded through the 1^st respondent to the government. The government has to get concurrence from the finance department and thereafter the amount would be paid.

3.This court has considered the rival submissions made.

4.The petitioner has been appointed in the year 2017 and his appointment has also been approved. However, the salary due to the petitioner from October 2017 to April 2022 is yet to be disbursed. The 1^st respondent shall ensure that the proposal made by them is persuaded with the government and ensure that the petitioner gets the dues within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Since it is reported that the proposal of the 4^th respondent was sent only on 23.05.2025, the 1^st respondent shall recover the interest for the belated payment from the 4^th respondent and shall pay the same to the petitioner.

6.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
