Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records on the files of the second respondent bearing GO Ms.No.401 Finance(Pay Cell) Department dated 12.11.2020 and to quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to place the petitioners in the original pay band of Rs.15600 - 39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.5400, placing them at level 22, thus enabling the petitioners to draw a pay scale commensurate to the pay scale fixed for level 22 as per the Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Rules 2017 i.e. between Rs.56,100 –

1,77,500.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed calling for the records on the files of the second respondent bearing GO Ms.No.401 Finance(Pay Cell) Department dated 12.11.2020 and to quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to place the petitioners in the original pay band of Rs.15600 - 39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.5400, placing them at level 22, thus enabling the petitioners to draw a pay scale commensurate to the pay scale fixed for level 22 as per the Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Rules 2017 i.e. between Rs.56,100/- – Rs.1,77,500/-.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The very same Government Order was challenged before the Madurai Bench of this Court in a batch of writ petitions in W.P.(MD) Nos.17163 of 2020 and etc batch, by order dated 04.04.2024, wherein this Court issued the following directions.
