O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 07.08.2025 seeking grant of promotion of Forest Guard with effect from 31.05.2004 instead of 20.12.2014.

2. The petitioner was appointed as Social Forestry Worker on

09.10.1983. Thereafter he was not granted any promotion and as such, he filed writ petition before this Court in WP.No.39 of 2016. This Court issued direction and in compliance of the order passed by this Court, the Government issued letter dated 16.03.2017 granting promotion to the petitioner as Forest Watcher with retrospective effect from 24.01.1995 and he retired from service on 30.09.2016. After period of nine years, the petitioner submitted representation seeking promotion to the post of Forest Guard with effect from 31.05.2004. He kept quiet for nine years from the date of his retirement and also during his service he did not take any step to seek promotion from the year 2004. Therefore, on the ground of lapse alone, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed.

3. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
