Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 3 and 4 to pay the compensation for the acquired lands of the petitioner comprised in Re-survey Nos.255/4/B/2 00.22 Are, 52 Santhiar, situated at No.21, Tirunallar Village, Tirunallar Commune Panchayat, Karaikkal District, Puducherry, as fixed in L.A.O.P. No.6 of 2018 etc., by the District Court, Karaikkal District and in A.S.No.786 of 2023 by this Court, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner’s land was acquired under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. In relation thereto, the petitioner had requested for enhanced compensation. Since such enhanced compensation was not paid, after submitting a representation on 14.11.2025, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the representation was given upon receipt of the judgment dated 19.11.2024 in A.S.No.786 of 2023. He seeks early disposal of the representation.

3. Mr.V.Vasanthakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the representation would be considered and disposed of on merits. 4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner’s representation dated 14.11.2025 within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after taking into account the judgment dated 19.11.2024 in A.S.No.786 of 2023 and by providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.

There shall be no order as to costs.
