Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to expeditiously dispose off the rectification application filed by the petitioner in ARN. AD331225041241R dated 22.12.2025 pending on the file of the respondent on its own merits and in accordance with law within time frame to be fixed by this Honble Court.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to expeditiously dispose off the rectification application dated 22.12.2025 filed by the petitioner.
2. Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, learned Additional Government, takes notice on behalf of the respondent.
3. By consent of the parties, the main petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the assessment order came to be passed by the respondent on 26.02.2025. Aggrieved over the same, a rectification application was filed by the petitioner on 22.12.2025. However, the said rectification application was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this petition.
5. In reply, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's application will be disposed of by the respondent within a period of 4 weeks.
6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record.
7. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondent to consider the rectification application of the petitioner dated 22.12.2025 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
