No. 3401 of 2023 within a period of fixing time frame.

ORDER

The Civil Revision Petition is filed seeking a direction to II Additional Principal Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the suit in I.D.O.P. No. 3401 of

2023 filed by the respondent/wife within a time fixed by this court.

2. When the matter came up for hearing on 05.01.2026, this Court called for remarks from the concerned judge regarding the timeline required for the disposal of the main OP.

3. The Presiding Officer of the II Additional Principal Family Court, Chennai in his report dated 20.01.2026 had stated that petition for interim maintenance, litigation expenses and school fees, etc., in IA.Nos.1 & 2 of 2023 and I.A.No.4 of 2025 are pending. It is further stated that the petitioner also filed IA.No.3 of 2025 seeking visitation rights of the minor children and the said IA was disposed by order dated 19.01.2026. In the light of the pendency of various IA’s, the trial court seeks a timeline of six months for disposal of the main OP.

4. In view of the pendency of IA.Nos.1 & 2 of 2023 and I.A.No.4 of

2025 seeking interim relief, the family court is directed to dispose of the said IA’s as expeditiously as possible. After disposal of all the IA’s mentioned above, the family court shall take up the main OP for enquiry and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible.

5. With this direction, the civil revision petition stands disposed of. No costs.
