PRAYER :- Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of

India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to

call for the records pertaining to the impugned letter No.H6/10468/2025

dated 10.12.2025 issued by the second and quash the same and

consequently directing the second respondent to incorporate the name of

the petitioner's daughter Priyanka.M.S in the Birth Certificate SI.No.

51969 dated 14.05.2010 and issue fresh birth Certificate within a time

fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the order

passed by the second respondent herein, where the request of the

petitioner to incorporate his daughter's name in her birth certificate has

been rejected on the ground that the time frame fixed by the Government

had expired on 31.12.2024.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner brought to the

notice of this Court, by way of letter dated 27.01.2026, the Government

has extended the time up to 26.09.2026 for incorporating the name of the

child in the birth certificate.

3. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to

approach the second respondent herein with all relevant documents to

incorporate the name of his daughter in the birth certificate. On receipt of

the same, an appropriate orders shall be passed by the second respondent

within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this

order.

4. With the above said directions, this writ petition stands disposed

of. No Costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is

closed.
