ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to expedite the process of completing the enquiry in Na.Ka.A5/11814/2025 dated 22.12.2024 and dispose of the same, within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner’s grandfather purchased the property comprised in S.No.104, measuring an extent of 2.11 acres of dry land, situated at Thelur Village. While so, the Tahsildar, Thiruvadanai, Ramanathapuram District, in deliberate collusion with his subordinate, namely, the Village Administrative Officer, Thelur Group, transferred the patta in favour of one Arockiyasamy and his brothers. Challenging the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent, and the same has been pending without any progress for more than one year. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to approach this Court by filing the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submits that the enquiry was fixed on 09.02.2026, and the respondent requires twelve weeks’ time to complete the enquiry and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent to complete the enquiry and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner and all other persons, who may be interested in the subject matter, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondent to consider the same on its own merits. There shall be no order as to costs.
