the Family Court Act, against the judgment and decreetal order passed by

the Family Court, Tirunelveli, made in I.D.O.P No.291 of 2017, dated

26/09/2018.

JUDGEMENT

(Judgment of the Court was made by the Hon'ble G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN. J.

This Civil Miscellaneous Appeal has been preferred as against the

judgment and decree, dated 26/09/2018 passed in IDOP No.291 of 2017

on the file of the Family Court, Tirunelveli.

2.While pending this appeal, the appellant and the respondent

entered into a compromise and settled their issues amicably. Today

(30/01/2026), both the appellant as well as the respondent appeared

along with their respective counsel before this Court and reports that they

have settled the issues amicably by way of joint compromise memo,

dated 30/01/2026. The relevant portion of the joint compromise memo,

dated 30/01/2026 reads as under:-

(i)We both agreed to set aside the judgment

and decree in I.D.O.P No.291 of 2017, dated

26.09.2018 on the file of the Family Court,

Tirunelveli and to grant decree as prayed in

I.D.O.P No.291 of 2017.

(ii)Now, the appellant/husband is ready to

pay a sum of Rs.3,50,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs

Fifty Thousand) to the respondent/wife by way of

demand draft in D.D.No.586406, dated 23.01.2026

through Bank of India, Erode Branch as full and

final settlement.

(iii)The respondent/wife agreed to

compromise the dispute between the

appellant/husband and further agreed that she will

have no claim in future in so far as the

matrimonial dispute.

(v)The appellant/husband agreed to

compromise the dispute between the

respondent/wife.

3.As per the joint compromise memo, dated, 30/01/2026, a demand

draft for a sum of Rs.3,50,000/- is handed over to the respondent/wife.

4.Recording the above, this Civil Miscellaneous Appeal stands

disposed of in terms of compromise entered into between the parties.

The joint compromise memo, dated 30/01/2026 shall form part of this

order. No costs.
