Prayer in W.P.No.44441 of 2025: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of writ of certiorarified mandamus, calling for the records of the 2nd Respondent pertaining to the Final selection list for the post of Sub-Inspectors of police and Station Officers (Tamilnadu Fire Subordinate Services) published on 27.10.2025 and quash the same and consequently, direct the 2nd Respondent to re-select the candidates in a transparent manner and in accordance with the stipulations imposed by this Honble Court.

Common Order
These writ petitions have been filed challenging the Final selection list for the post of Sub-Inspectors of police and Station Officers (Tamilnadu Fire Subordinate Services) published on 27.10.2025 and quash the same and consequently, direct the 2nd Respondent to re-select the candidates in a transparent manner and in accordance with the stipulations imposed by this Hon’ble Court.
2. Heard, Ms.R.Revathy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader for R1 and Mr.P.Kumaresan, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Ms.D.Sowmi Dattan for R2 & R3.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the participated in the recruitment for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police pursuant to the Notification No.1 of 2023 dated 23.05.2023 under the category of MBC- Women. However, it is the grievance of the petitioners that persons, who secured lesser marks than the petitioners were selected in the provisional list.
Challenging the same, the present writ petition is filed.
4. Per contra, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents would submit that the entire selection was made by the Judicial Committee appointed by this Court in W.P.Nos. 32347 of 2024 etc., batch dated 22.04.2025. As against the said order, an appeal filed in W.A.No.2552 of 2025 was dismissed by the Division Bench by its order dated 08.10.2025 wherein, the Division Bench has issued a direction to publish the result.
