This Writ Petition(Criminal) has filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1^st respondent (Director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption) to take appropriate action on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 17.09.2025.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner submitted a detailed complaint on 17.09.2025, alleging serious financial irregularities and illegal transactions involving a sitting MLA. He further submitted that various land transactions were manipulated to boost up the property prices, involving falsification of records. Despite the gravity of the allegations, the respondent authorities have failed to act and hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the complaint dated 17.09.2025 was received by the Directorate on 22.09.2025. He further submitted that the complaint is being processed in accordance with the mandatory procedures prescribed under Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and the guidelines issued in G.O.(Ms.) No.173 (Personnel and Administrative Reforms (N)

Department) dated 19.12.2018.

4. It is further submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that since the allegations pertain to an elected representative, the complaint has been forwarded to the competent authority to obtain the necessary prior approval required for conducting a preliminary enquiry or investigation. He assured the Court that the matter is under active consideration.

5. In view of the submissions made and the fact that the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) is already seized of the matter, no further directions are required at this stage.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands closed, granting liberty to the petitioner to move further in the manner known to law. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed. No costs.
