ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner’s revision petition dated 14.10.2025, 23.10.2025 and

28.10.2025 and to pass orders within a time to be stipulated by this Court. 2.The case of the petitioner is that initially, the petitioner was posted as Junior Assistant in the Taluk Supply Office, Arakkonam on 03.06.2009 and worked there until 18.05.2013. Thereafter, the petitioner was promoted from Junior Assistant on 20.05.2013 and thereafter served as Assistant, Revenue Inspector, Head Assistant, and later as Acting Tahsildar in various offices including Walaja, Arakkonam, and Vaniyambadi between 2013 and 2019, along with required departmental training. Thereafter, the petitioner worked in the Taluk Supply Office , Vaniyampadi from 14.06.2019, and was promoted as special Tahsildar (SSS), Tirupathur, where he served from 02.06.2020 to 16.12.2020, underwent Magisterial Training from 17.12.2020 to 15.04.2021, availed earned leave from 16.04.2021 to 28.04.2021, and then served as Special Tahsildar (SSS) at Tirupathur and Natrampalli from 29.04.2021 to 16.05.2024, however, by order dated 13.05.2024, the District Collector, Tiupattur reverted the petitioner from Tahsildar to Deputy Tahsildar, pursuant to the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s order in SLP (Civil) No.2886 of 2022, which was served on the petitioner through Whatsapp on 17.05.2024. Immediately, the petitioner filed W.P No.13880 of 2024 and this Court, by order dated 03.12.2024 issued a direction to consider the petitioner’s representation on merits and in accordance with law. However, subsequent to the order of this Court, the District Collector, Tirupattur rejected the petitioner’s claim. Thereafter, the petitioner preferred a statutory appeal under Rule 66 of the Tamil Nadu Subordinate Service Rules before the Additional Chief Secretary, Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chepauk, Chennai-600 005, through proper channel on 27.12.2024 and also submitted further representations were also submitted to the District Collector, Tirupattur. However, the said appeal was rejected on 25.09.2025. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed a statutory revision before the respondent on 14.10.2025. Subsequently, the petitioner made further representations dated 23.10.2025 and 28.10.2025 to the respondent. However, the same have not been considered till date. Since the petitioner is due to retire on 31.07.2027, and seeks finality in his service matter, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the petitioner’s revision petition dated 14.10.2025, 23.10.2025 and 28.10.2025 within a reasonable time.

4.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner’s revision petition dated 14.10.2025, 23.10.2025 and 28.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
