Prayer:
Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for an issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to issue the petitioner’s certificate of course completion in M.Phil in Mathematics for the academic year 2016-2017, by considering the petitioners representation dated 26.09.2025.
ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to issue the petitioner's 'Certificate of Course Completion' in M.Phil (Mathematics) for the academic year 2016-17, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2025.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner.
3. Upon perusal of the representation of the petitioner, it is stated that petitioner has completed the course and is therefore is entitled to the ‘Course Completion Certificate’. The said version has not been refuted by the respondent. No counter affidavit has been filed.
4. In view thereof, this writ petition is allowed on the following terms:
(i) The respondent shall consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2025 and issue the 'Course Completion Certificate" in M.Phil (Mathematics) for the academic year 2016-2017 with in a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a web copy of this order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order;
(ii) There shall be no order as to costs.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner brought to the notice of this Court that his appearance was not recorded in the appearance portion of the order dated 20.01.2026 in W.P.No.44772 of 2025.
3. Accordingly, the Registry is directed to include the name of the learned counsel for the petitioner as
Mr.S.Balamuki
in the appearance portion and also to substitute the following sentence in Paragraph No.2,:-
“I have considered the submission made on either side and perused the material records of the case.”
4. The Registry is directed to issue a fresh order copy after carrying out the above correction.
