PRAYER; This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioners appeal dated 3.10.2025 in a time frame manner.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioners appeal dated 3.10.2025 in a time frame manner.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is the senior most P.G.

Assistant in the 4^th respondent with the 4^th respondent and she is the qualified with M.Com. M.Ed., M.Phil, PGDPM, PGDCA. She was appointed as PG Assistant on 01.06.2006 in commerce. A vacancy in the post of Headmaster, High Secondary school arose on 31.05.2025 due to the retirement of the incumbent Thilagammal. Normally, the petitioner should have been promoted. Without considering about seniority, the 4^th respondent school had promoted the 5^th respondent who is the junior to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation on 20.08.2025 claiming for promotion and the same was rejected. Therefore, the petitioner has preferred an appeal on 30.10.2025 to the first respondent and so far, no order has been passed. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners appeal dated 30.10.2025 within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the appeal will be disposed and appropriate orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 31.10.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
