The court directed the public service commission to provide a color copy of a candidate's OMR sheet to ensure transparency in the evaluation of competitive examinations.

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to provide the colour copy of petitioner's OMR sheet for the post of Combined Civil Services Examination – IV (Group IV Service) through a Notification No.07/2025 dated 25.04.2025 by considering the petitioner's email representation dated 05.01.2026, consequently direct the respondent to publish the final selected candidates details as per Annexure – 1 of TNPSC office order No.171 dated 12.03.2021 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner has appeared for Group-IV Examination and she has also been selected. However, the petitioner, with a grievance that her OMR sheet has not been evaluated properly, has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus to provide the colour copy of her OMR sheet.

2. Mr.V.Panneerselvam, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondent and submits that they are in the process of uploading the colour OMR Sheets.

3. Considering the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to upload the colour OMR Sheet of the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
