respondent without any further delay and consequently to provide family

pension to the petitioner.

ORDER

The petitioner's mother one A.Maria Soundaria worked as

Secondary Grade Teacher and voluntarily retired from service on

12.06.1990. After retirement, she was receiving pension and she also

died on 04.05.2024. The petitioner's father Gnana Arputharaj

predeceased her mother on 24.03.1970. Since the petitioner is suffering

from severe ataxia, she is bedridden and she has no independent source

of income to meet the medical expenses. Therefore, she applied for

family pension. According to the petitioner, the 2^nd respondent has

forwarded the family pension proposal to the 1^st respondent. However,

the 1^st respondent has not taken any steps. Therefore, the petitioner is

before this Court.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1^st respondent/

the Principal Accountant General (A&E) submits that they have received

all the required documents and the petitioner's application is under

process.

3. Considering the said submission, this writ petition is disposed

of with a direction to the 1^st respondent to authorize the pension proposal

of the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of

a copy of this order. No costs.
