praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st
respondent to sanction and pay the family pension through the 3rd
respondent without any further delay and consequently to provide family
pension to the petitioner.

ORDER
The petitioner's mother one A.Maria Soundaria worked as
Secondary Grade Teacher and voluntarily retired from service on
12.06.1990. After retirement, she was receiving pension and she also
died on 04.05.2024. The petitioner's father Gnana Arputharaj
predeceased her mother on 24.03.1970. Since the petitioner is suffering
from severe ataxia, she is bedridden and she has no independent source
of income to meet the medical expenses. Therefore, she applied for
family pension. According to the petitioner, the 2nd respondent has
forwarded the family pension proposal to the 1st respondent. However,
the 1st respondent has not taken any steps. Therefore, the petitioner is
before this Court.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent/
the Principal Accountant General (A&E) submits that they have received
all the required documents and the petitioner's application is under
process.
3. Considering the said submission, this writ petition is disposed
of with a direction to the 1st respondent to authorize the pension proposal
of the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of
a copy of this order. No costs.
