Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give permission and necessary police protection to petitioner to celebrate the Maha Sivarathri Festival from 14.02.2025 to 16.02.2025 held in Sriram Perumalsamy Thirukovil, Arasankulam, North Ariyanayagipuram, Cheranmahadevi Taluk, Tirunelveli District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.02.2026 within a stipulated time in accordance with law.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give permission and necessary police protection to petitioner to celebrate the Maha Sivarathri Festival from 14.02.2025 to 16.02.2025 held in Sriram Perumalsamy Thirukovil, Arasankulam, North Ariyanayagipuram, Cheranmahadevi Taluk, Tirunelveli District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.02.2026 within a stipulated time in accordance with law.

2.The intervenor submitted that the petitioner is not allowing them to worship in the temple.

3.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that he would allow the intervenor to worship in the temple. The said submission is recorded.

4.Therefore, the petitioner, the rival claimants and the other worshippers shall be permitted to worship in the temple for the Mahasivarathiri festival from 14.02.2026 to 16.02.2026 and the respondents shall provide police protection for the Mahasivarathiri festival.

5.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
