Order

[Order of the Court was made by C.KUMARAPPAN, J.]

The present writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 7 to remove the encroachment made by the 8th respondent in the pathway in Survey No.694/31 by considering the petitioner’s representations dated 08.07.2021, 14.12.2021, 04.02.2022 and 28.03.2022

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondents have already issued a notice under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act (Act No.III of 1905), to the 8th respondent and they sought for police protection. However, due to the intervention of the local body elections, they did not proceed further.

3. At this juncture, the learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the authorities will proceed with the matter in accordance with law. Since the matter has been pending from the year 2022, we would like to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to proceed with the enforcement action as expeditiously as possible.

With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
