O R D E R
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent Nos.1 to 5 to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner’s representation dated 03.12.2025 within a stipulated time, by conducting a proper enquiry, bringing the temple under the supervision of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, and providing adequate police protection, particularly in connection with the annual festival scheduled to be held in April 2026.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is a Trustee of Arulmigu Shri Peelikan Muneeswarar Temple, Kamaraj Nagar, Tiruchirappalli. The grievance of the petitioner is that the annual temple festival is scheduled to be conducted in April 2026, and there is an apprehension that certain unlawful elements may disturb the same, resulting in a law and order problem. It is stated that more than 600 devotees have signed, along with their Aadhaar details, supporting the request to bring the Temple under the control of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation to respondent Nos.1 to 3 seeking to bring the Temple under the control and supervision of the HR & CE Department. He has also made a representation to the fourth respondent seeking adequate police protection for the temple administration and the conduct of the festival. However, the said representations have not been considered till date.
Hence, the present writ petition.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 4 would submit that the petitioner’s representation would be considered in accordance with law.

This Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to forward the petitioner’s representation to the Assistant Commissioner, HR & CE Department, Thiruvanaikoil, Trichirappalli District forthwith. The Assistant Commissioner is directed to consider and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
