O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in CC.No.28 of 2022 pending on the file of the Special Magistrate for Land Grabbing Court-II, Villupuram.

2. When the matter was listed for hearing on earlier occasion i.e., 06.03.2024, there was no representation on either side.

3. Even today, i.e., 09.02.2026, when the matter was taken up for hearing, there was no representation for the petitioners. Thus, it is evident that the petitioners are not interested in pursuing the matter.

4. Further, it was submitted by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the 1^st respondent that since there was no restraint order, the trial court proceeded with the matter and framed charges and the matter now stands posted to 11.02.2026 for examination of witnesses.

5. In view of the above, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping this petition pending and accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed for non- prosecution. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
