Prayer: To issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and gave adequate police protection to conduct state level conference, rally and erect flex boards by Indian Nadar Council scheduled to be held on 22.02.2026 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondents to grant permission and gave adequate police protection to conduct state level conference, rally and erect flex boards by Indian Nadar Council scheduled to be held on

22.02.2026 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing for the respondent police, submitted that permission was rejected since the petitioner sought to conduct a procession in a highly congested area. However, the petitioner submitted that he is amenable to restricting the distance of the procession.

3. Therefore, the respondents are directed to grant permission to conduct the procession from Sivakannu Hospital to 5th Cross Street. Only 50 persons are permitted to participate, and no communal slogans shall be raised during the procession. The procession shall be conducted within the stipulated time.

4. With these directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
