PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, direct the first respondent to provide “A” class facility I view of Rule 225 (1)(ii) of Tamil Nadu Prison Rules, 1983 and Rule 230(1)(ii) of Tamil Nadu Prison Rules, 2024 to the petitioner's husband namely Sundarapandi, S/o.Tamilmani aged about 39 years convict prisoner, PID No. 439752 confined at Central prison, Trichy on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2025.

[Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.
The prayer in the Writ Petition is to direct the first respondent to provide “A” class facility I view of Rule 225 (1)(ii) of Tamil Nadu Prison Rules, 1983 and Rule 230(1)(ii) of Tamil Nadu Prison Rules, 2024 to the petitioner's husband namely Sundarapandi, S/o.Tamilmani aged about 39 years convict prisoner, PID No.439752 confined at Central prison, Trichy on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2025.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
3. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the fourth respondent is directed to forward the representation submitted by the petitioner to the first respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the first respondent is directed to dispose the representation within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of representation from the fourth respondent and pass orders on own merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks therefrom.
4. With the above direction, the writ petition (Crl.) stands disposed of.
No costs.
