ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the order passed by the 3rd respondent wherein the petitioner has been directed to vacate the shop by 15.02.2026.

2. A perusal of records reveal that the petitioner has taken the land belonging to the 3rd respondent on rent basis for the period covering 01.04.2024 to 31.03.2025. As lease has expired on 04.09.2024, a meeting was called for by the 3rd respondent with regard to the floating of tenders for construction of the new bus stand. The petitioner has also participated in the same on 05.09.2024.

3. The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 has brought to the notice of the Court that a tender has been floated for construction of the new bus stand on 18.09.2024 and after finalisation of the tender, work order has been issued on 21.01.2026. Therefore, according to him, the petitioner cannot be permitted to continue his shop inside the bus stand area which will delay the construction of the new bus stand. 4. Considering the fact that the petitioner was granted only 15 days time to vacate the premises, this Court is of the considered opinion that some more time namely, upto 28.02.2026, could be granted to the petitioner.

5. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner shall not be disturbed till

28.02.2026 and from 01.03.2026, the respondents are entitled to take possession of the area and proceed with the construction activities.

6. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of.
