These Civil Revision Petitions have been filed seeking a direction to the Principal District Court, Chengalpattu, to dispose of E.P.Nos.32, 34, 31 and 33 of 2025, respectively, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

3. The revision petitioner is the decree holder, who has filed the above execution petitions for executing the decrees passed in the respective commercial suits. The grievance of the petitioner is that, though the execution petitions were filed in the year 2025 and the judgment debtors have also entered appearance, the matters are being adjourned from time to time and the judgment debtors are protracting the proceedings. The learned counsel for the petitioner further placed reliance on the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Rahul S. Shah Vs. Jinendra Kumar Gandhi and Others, reported in (2021) 6 SCC 418, wherein directions have been issued to all Executing Courts to dispose of pending execution petitions, as far as possible, within a period of six months.

In the light of the directions issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the above decision, this Court is inclined to entertain these Civil Revision Petitions, considering the limited relief sought for. In view of the nature of the order proposed to be passed, notice to the respondent is dispensed with, as no serious prejudice would be caused to him. The execution petitions pending on the file of the Principal District Court, Chengalpattu, which are now posted for hearing on 06.03.2026, shall be disposed of expeditiously, on merits and in accordance with law, preferably on or before 30.06.2026.

5. Accordingly, these Civil Revision Petitions are allowed. No costs.
