O R D E R

The above Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.01.2026 and consequently to direct the 3^rd respondent bank to waive the entire interest and grant one year’s time to settle the principal amount in respect of housing loan availed by the petitioner.

2. The petitioner would submit that he had availed a housing loan from the 3^rd respondent bank by mortgaging his property through Memorandum of Title Deeds registered as Document No.8227 on the file of the Sub Registrar Office, Kelamangalam. He had been paying the monthly installments regularly. However, due to financial difficulties, the petitioner had defaulted in repayment. The petitioner had submitted a representation dated 13.01.2026 to respondents 1 to 3 requesting that the entire accrued interest, penal interest and all other charges be fully waived. The petitioner had also expressed his willingness to settle the principal outstanding amount and sought one year’s time to repay the principal amount, either in lump sum or installments. The said representation has not yet been considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2^nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner’s representation dated 13.01.2026 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
