ORDER

The petitioner is a graduate. He has written the examination conducted by the Teacher's Recruitment Board for Tamilnadu State Eligibility Test 2024. He claims that he studied his education in Tamil medium and therefore, he is entitled for a reservation in the selection process under PSTM, however, he has not been considered. Therefore, he has filed this writ petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus to the respondents to include him as an eligible candidate under Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM category) TNSET 2024 in Mathematics.

Mr.T.Amjad Khan, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the 2nd respondent and submits that the petitioner has submitted a representation to the Chief Minister's Cell, which has been forwarded to the respondent Board and the request of the petitioner was already considered and rejected by a communication in Na.Ka.No. 11256/cv2/s1/2025 dated 04.12.2025 that he has studied 10th standard as privately. According to him, the persons, who studied 10th standard as privately, are not eligible under PSTM category, as per the Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.16, Human Resource Management (S) Department dated 15.04.2025.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has written this examination even before this Government Order and therefore, G.O.Ms.No.16, dated 15.04.2025 is not applicable to the case of the petitioner.

4. This Court has considered the rival submission made.

5. The request of the petitioner has already been considered and rejected vide Na.Ka.No.11256/cv2/s1/2025 dated 04.12.2025. Therefore, the petitioner shall workout his remedy by challenging the proceedings dated 04.12.2025, if he is so advised.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
