for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to

pay the compensation amount arising out of the acquisition of the lands

comprised in Old S.No.125/2 bearing New S.Nos.162/2A, 162/2B,

162/2C, 162/2D and 162/2E classified as punja land which has an extent

of 5 Acres out of the total extent of 6 acres by considering the

representation dated 26.09.2025.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of

Mandamus directing the second respondent to pay the compensation

amount arising out of the acquisition of the lands comprised in Old

Survey No.125/2, bearing New Survey Nos.162/2A, 162/2B, 162/2C,

162/2D and 162/2E, classified as punja land, measuring an extent of 5

acres out of the total extent of 6 acres, by considering the petitioner’s

representation dated 26.09.2025.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for

final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the subject properties

belonged to the temple. The same were acquired by the Government for

the formation of a road to ease traffic congestion and to facilitate access to

the Samayapuram Mariamman Temple. However, the compensation

amount has not been disbursed to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner

submitted a representation dated 26.09.2025. However, no action has been

taken on the petitioner’s representation. Hence, the petitioner has been

constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the

respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's

representation dated 26.09.2025 would be considered and appropriate

orders would be passed by the first respondent within a period of sixteen

weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any

opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a

direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation

dated 26.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in

accordance with law within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of

receipt of a copy of this order. If the petitioner is entitled to the

compensation, the same shall be disbursed in accordance with law. The

first respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of

hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be

affected by such decision, before passing any order. There shall be no

order as to costs.
