ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the family pension arrears from 01.11.2014 to 10.04.2023 to the petitioner by considering the petitioner representation dated

05.03.2025 with all other consequential benefits.

2. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner’s father died in the year 1997 while he was working as a Forester in the Forest Department and thereafter, the petitioner’s mother was receiving family pension and there was a difference of opinion in petitioner’s marriage in between the petitioner and her parents thefore, she lived separately with her husband and they never enquired about the pension and monetary benefits. While so, the petitioner’s mother died in the year 2023 thereafter, upon verifying the bank accounts, they came to know that the pension was stopped from the year 2014. For receiving the said benefit of payment of family pension from the year 2014 – 2023, the petitioner made a representation dated 05.03.2023 to the 3^rd respondent. Since no order was passed, the present writ petition is filed.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue direction to the 3^rd respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner’s representation dated 05.03.2025 within a specified time.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the 3^rd respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on the same within a specified time. 6. In view of the above, there will be a direction to the 3^rd respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 05.03.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above terms. No costs.
