ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for direction to the respondents to transfer the petitioner from Government Higher Secondary School, Cuddalore District to The Government Higher Secondary School, Kothattai, Cuddalore District considering his 70 percentage disability and serious cardiac condition, pursuant to his representation dated 6.1.2026 within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit htat the petitioner is working as ‘Thuppuravu Paniyalar’ in Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Cuddalore. He suffered health ailment and he took treatment from Government hospital. Due to ill health, he is not able to travel to Government Higher Secondary School, Cuddalore, thereby the petitioner made representation to transfer from Cuddalore to Kothattai Government Higher Secondary School. However, no order has been passed. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that earlier similar request was made by the petitioner, thereby the petitioner was transferred on deputation from Kavarapattu Government Higher Secondary School, Kavarappattu to Government Higher Secondary School, Kothattai on 01.08.2024 on deputation. Subsequently, again he was transferred to Cuddalore. However, now again he will be transferred on deputation to Kothattai on temporary basis considering his ill health.

4. Recording the above submissions of the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to send the petitioner on deputation to Kothattai Government Higher Secondary School within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order. No costs.
