PRAYER :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to give permission for 'Rekhla Race' function scheduled on 21.03.2026 and adequate protection for the temple kodai festival of Arulmigu Kalyani @ Kaniyamman Temple, Agaram, Thoothukudi District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2026.

ORDER
This Writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to give permission for 'Rekhla Race' function scheduled on 21.03.2026 and adequate protection for the temple kodai festival of Arulmigu Kalyani @ Kaniyamman Temple, Agaram, Thoothukudi District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2026. 2. The petitioner is seeking police protection to conduct 'Rekla Race' scheduled to be conducted on 21.03.2026. The District Collector, Thoothukudi, is suo motu impleaded in this petition. The petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation along with all the particulars before the District Collector who shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders imposing conditions including time restrictions. The said exercises shall be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. With this direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
