COMMON ORDER
These writ petitions have been filed challenging the impugned order passed by the first respondent in R.P.No.1 of 2025 (D2) dated
29.05.2025.
2. The issue involved in both writ petitions relates to the claim of poojariship / archagar rights in Arulmigu Subramania Swamy Temple. Since the challenge is to the very same revisional order dated 29.05.2025, both these writ petitions are taken up together and disposed of by way of this common order.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the impugned order has been passed without proper application of mind and beyond the scope of the revision. According to them, the first respondent, while exercising revisional jurisdiction, has rendered findings which travel beyond the dispute raised before him and has unnecessarily made observations regarding the filling up of vacancies of Archagar.
4. Per contra, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents and the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the temple authorities would submit that the revisional authority has considered the entire materials on record and has passed a reasoned order strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act.
5. On perusal of the impugned order, it is seen that the revisional authority has examined the claim of both parties with regard to performance of pooja murai and hereditary claim.
