ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the 1st respondent to issue FL2 liquor licence to the petitioner club namely Tvl.Illakiya Mamamahil Mandram based on the application dated

07.02.2022 within time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made an application for issuance of FL2 license for the petitioner's recreation club on 07.02.2022. However, he would submit that since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents would submit that on considering the representation of the petitioner, necessary orders would be passed by the respondents.

5. Considering the said submission made, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 07.02.2022 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
