ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for direction to the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation the petitioner dated 9.10.2025 and received by the 4th respondent on 9.10.2025 and to re-fix the pension of the petitioner by counting the entire period of service from 30.09.1988 to 29.02.2020 including the service rendered prior to 01.06.1995 as qualifying service and to grant all consequential pensionary and monetary benefits within a reasonable time

2. In view of the consent expressed by the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit htat the petitioner was initially appointed as Village Assistant in the year 1988. However, his services were regularised only in the year 1995 and he retired from service in the year 2020 from the revenue department. However, they calculated pension only from the year 1995 onwards by exclusing the prior period from 1988 to 1995. Hence, claiming full pension by calculating earlier period, the petitioner made representation on 09.10.2025. However, no order has been passed. Hence, this writ petition has been filed. Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 9.10.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the limited request sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 9.10.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
