ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying to quash the records of the

3rd Respondent dated 22.01.2026 containing the ineligible list of candidates after Certificate Verification for the Subject Commerce pursuant to Notification No.02/2025 dated 10.07.2025 referring to G.O Ms. No.195 Higher Education Department, dated 14.08.2018 insofar as the said list of ineligible candidates contains the name of the petitioner in serial NO.6, and consequently to direct the 3rd Respondent to issue as order selecting the Petitioner for the Direct Recruitment for the post of PG Assistant in Commerce pursuant to Notification No.02/2025 dated 10.07.2025 in the SC communal Category relying on G.O. Ms. No.268 Higher Education (K1) Department, dated 29.11.2019 and G.O. Ms.No.257 Higher Education (J1) Department dated 24.11.2025 and based on the said selection direct the 2nd Respondent to issue appointment order to the petitioner as PG Assistant in commerce in any of the Government Higher Secondary Schools preferably in Salem District

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would subit that the petitioner secured a Bachelor of Corporate Secretaryship in the year 2005 from Periyar University and completed Master of Commerce in Computer Application in the year 2007. The petitioner was qualified for B.Ed in the year 2020. While so, the Teachers Recruitment Board issued notification on 10.07.2025 inviting eligible candidates for the post of Post Graduate Assistant in the Tamilnadu Higher Secondary Educational Service for direct recruitment. However, the petitioner’s candidature was not considered as if the petitioner did not possess qualification equivalent to B.Com, M.Com Commerce. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in a similar situation, this Court passed as order for reserving one post for petitioner’s communal category. Accordingly, he prayed for appropriate orders.
