The writ of mandamus has been instituted to direct respondent Nos. 1 to
3 to initiate appropriate action against 4th respondent and hand over possession of the land in Survey No.243 /3A, measuring an extent of 4 acre 27 cents bearing Patta No.2, situated at Paanampattu Village, Villupuram Taluk, Villupuram District, to the petitioner by considering his representation dated 04.12.2025.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the temple property was auctioned and the petitioner is the successful bidder.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a portion of the property is under encroachment and the authorities have to initiate appropriate action to evict the encroachers under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Act, 1959. 4. In view of the above facts, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent authority to initiate appropriate action under the provisions
